Duke’s financial aid program is grounded in the understanding that all students accepted to the University should be able to contribute to and take advantage of all the programs Duke has to offer, regardless of financial circumstances. To support this understanding, Duke provides financial aid for eight standard semesters plus two summer terms to every student.  We also provide financial aid to encourage every student to participate in a wide variety of Duke programs including civic engagement through work study positions in community agencies or the Duke Engage summer program, studying abroad during the academic year or summer term, various summer activities, and other opportunities.
